Accessibility:

Services are offered on Lewis Main, Lewis North and McChord Field. Several options for child/youth care are available on base and off base in centers and licensed homes. Some age groups may have a wait list for on base centers.

Affordability:

For child care and youth services there are military benefits on base and off base. Centers have a sliding scale based on income. All fees are subsidized by the government up to 60%. Patrons may reduce their bill further through Family Covenant Benefits Chart benefits, the parent participation program and the hardship program with ACS.

Eligibility:

You must fall into one of the following categories that may be verified with your government ID card. (AR608-10, 1-6)

  1. Active Duty Service Members 
  2. DOD Civilians 
  3. DOD Contractors 
  4. Reservist on active duty or in active duty personnell training 
  5. Retirees * may only use Recreational Activities (Child Care, School Age, Middle School Teen Services are not permissible for Retirees AR 215-1,7-1)
